Those that have known me for some time, know that I can’t start my mornings without my coffee
Needless to say, I was thrilled when asked to Review the Tassimo T45!
With the sleek black and silver design, the Tassimo machine and the Tassimo Discs (T Disc’s) you can make the hot beverage you want, when you want it. No Fuss. No Mess.
This machine, manufactured by Bosch makes a freshly brewed coffee and real espresso also makes milk based lattes and cappuccinos, steeped tea and rich hot chocolate. Each cup is freshly brewed to celebrate its true character. Plus, it’s extremely convenient.
I was excited to see the variety of T Disc’s that were included for our family to try!
Starbucks Caffe’ Verona
Gevalia Cappuccino
Twinings Chai Tea Latte
I also purchased some Hot Chocolate for our girl’s to try.
I like sugar and creamer in my coffee, and was pleasantly surprised that some varieties of the T Disc’s come with creamers that are run through the machine prior to adding the coffee. Latte’s use a regular steamed milk cartridge and cappuccinos use a frothed milk cartridge. Same milk, different texture due to differences in bar coding on each of the disks.
The excellent quality is that of a $5 + coffee! I enjoy that I can stay in my jammies and get the Premium coffeehouse quality right in my own kitchen with virtually no wait time! Insert a T Disc press the button and it is ready in 60 seconds!
One feature that stands out for me, is that the Tassimo system also comes with its own water filter to ensure that only pure water is used to expertly brew your hot beverage
The machine comes with two filters, which each last around 6-8 weeks based on use. The unit has a monitoring system that allows you to get a clear indication when it is time to change your water filter. It can’t get any easier than that!
You will want to run 3 to 4 cups of water through it initially to clean it. Another plus is most of the movable parts are dishwasher safe.
Each cup of the similar variety coffee is brewed with consistent flavor, which is also a plus in my book. If you have a favorite, you do want it to taste the same time and time again.
The ingenious Tassimo Disc (T Disc) is designed to work exclusively with the Tassimo machine. Each T Disc contains a precisely measured amount of coffee, tea, chocolate, or concentrated milk, and is sealed to protect the precious flavor inside.
When you insert the T Disc, the machine reads the bar code printed on the label. It automatically calculates the amount of water needed, brewing time, and temperature required to prepare the perfect beverage.
All the brewing happens inside the T Disc using a unique inverse flow. Your beverage pours directly from the T Disc into the cup so you can prepare different drinks, one after the other. Our girl’s luv hot chocolate, and after preparing their rich and creamy hot chocolate, I immediately made myself a cup of the Chai Tea to see if there was any “carry-over”. I can say there was no hint of the chocolate in my tea
The cost per cup is comparable to the cost per cup of quality ground coffee, plus I figured in the waste of making a whole pot, and then both myself and my husband only drinking 2 cups. You also have to figure in that this is not only a coffee brewer but a multi-function machine able to brew a variety of latte’s, cappuccinos, hot chocolate, and tea!
I luv my Tassimo T45, it’s simple to use, makes clean up a snap, and the variety of flavors and cafe’ style beverages is delicious!

Thanks for your review Jill. I won a Keurig last month and have been enjoying coffee, tea, iced tea and hot cocoa several times a day. Unfortunately the Keurig does not make a real latte though so I am thinking about purchasing the Tassimo.
