I just finished reading The Principle of the Path How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be by Andy Stanley. This is a very insightful book! It gives you several real-life scenarios; and the direction people were lead according to their decisions. It stops you and makes you think, just like when you tell yourself, “If I could go back 20 years and have a do-over”
Most of us know the difference between right and wrong, but get drawn into “clouded thinking” which steers us down paths we wish we wouldn’t have taken. This book helps us to see clearly, and break bad habits which in turn are bad decisions. Embracing the Principal is the key to avoiding regret. Like any Principal, you can leverage it for your benefit, or ignore it and reap a harvest of regret.
It did help to read a couple of the author’s life learned lessons, it gives the book perspective, and not a lecturing feel. You also learn that all of life’s decisions are connected in some way. That you’re not just out there making a choice for that day. All your decisions link together to form what sort of life you’re living today.
This book also includes a Study Guide which helps you to grasp the key concepts outlined in The Principal Of The Path. This is great for self-reflection.
Thanks goes out to Thomas Nelson Book Review Bloggers for this Great Read! ![]()
