Hearing from God Each Morning By Joyce Meyer Review & Giveaway!

In the hustle and bustle of today’s busy world, sometimes it’s hard enough to hear yourself think, much less take a minute to stop and listen for the voice of God. But learning to recognize God’s voice and the many ways in which He speaks is vital for following His plan. This devotional; drawing from How to Hear From God, Knowing God Intimately, and The Power Of Simple Prayer shows the reader through a daily reminder, how God speaks through their own thoughts and feelings, their dreams, and the words of other people.

I really look forward to reading daily from this little hardcover inspiration! It gives you that little lift you need to start your day, that morning cup of coffee doesn’t hurt either :giggle

You will take so many helpful tidbits from this devotional and you will be amazed what sticks in the back of your head, only to come flowing forward when needed. Each devotion ends with “God’s Word For You Today” which is a short, candid inspiration.

I like the message Joyce brings across to us here, so I’ve added it to this review :)

Using a Scripture as the theme, each devotion includes a modern-day story and several interactive exercises, including a To-Do list, a quiz, related Scriptures, and quotations that reinforce the lesson. Filled with whimsical and girl-centric art, this fun devotional will be hard for young girls to put down!

From the Back Cover:

Fighting your fears!
Feeling like you don’t measure up!
Dealing with gossip!

For Girls Only! Devotions talks about the issues you face. Many devotion books tell you what the Bible says; this one does that . . . and more! It also helps you live out what the Bible says. Each devotion includes a story about a real issue, a self-quiz for you to check out how you’re doing, some tips on living out the message, and quotes and Scriptures to reinforce the lesson. It’s a fun way to learn more about living out your faith in real life.

Your daughters will want to read these devotions!  I know mine look forward to the kid-friendly Illustrations, each devotional is 4 pages in length, and is easy to read and understand, plus an encouraging verse corresponds with each reading.

Each devotion also includes a Checkup Time, where girls can evaluate and express where they stand on each real-life issue that they just read about, by answering some questions based on a five point scale.

A Key helps them to see where they stand, and what they could work on a bit more.

In the Things to Do section, they are given easy, but important suggestions on how to improve and work on the issues addressed in the devotion.

Wrapping up the devotion, they are given Things to Remember, which touches on bible verses and quotes that correspond well to what they just read. It also puts it at a level, that they remember and actively associate with their daily lives.

I highly recommend this Devotional! It’s one of the better ones I’ve run across.
