Sunflower Serenade – Home to Heather Creek Series #12…

A small-town summer…

The days are long and lazy, the corn is high, the sunflowers are in bloom, and everyone in Bedford is gearing up for the biggest event of the summer: the annual county fair. But when a Nashville music producer approaches Bob about using Heather Creek Farm to film a country star’s new music video, he and Charlotte are faced with a dilemma. Will they allow the glamour and enticements of big-city life to encroach upon their peaceful home? Will the excitement of celebrity drown out the simple joys of summer?

In this book, Sam, Emily, Christopher, and their grandmother, Charlotte are all busily getting ready for the Bedford County Fair. Sam has a friend visiting from San Diego, and he’s trying desperately to impress Jordan, so that he won’t go home and tell everyone how boring Nebraska is. Emily wants to win a blue ribbon for her photography that she is entering, and Christopher is primping their dog, Toby for the dog show. Charlotte has her sights set on winning the pie contest.

The upcoming annual Bedford High School Alumni Banquet is also on everyone’s minds. An unwelcome guest will be attending,
Kevin Slater who is Sam, Emily, and Christopher’s father, whom they haven’t seen since he left their mom nine years ago.

How will they react to Kevin’s visit to Bedford? Can the Stevenson family withstand all the heartache and drama soon to enter their peaceful world? Charlotte, who is the children’s grandmother, and their world, is bound to keep all the family together.

Add another twist.. a Nashville music producer wanting to film a country star’s music video on Charlotte’s farm. Can they handle all the glamour and excitement of the celebrity and film crew invading their lives?

An excellent read with the message that with God, you can withstand all obstacles thrown at you.
