Check out this Jaclyn Smith Today Willow Comforter Set that I was sent by Kmart Design to review!
Click on the Image to view matching accessories and to order!
This comforter is a cotton-rich blend, and the subtle blend of color and design delightfully compliments our bedroom! My Hubby is outdoorsy, and I like the floral pretties, so this comforter is great for both of us. Plus, I’ve been into the beautiful chocolate brown hue for a few months now! Both of us just luv the colors and design!!
I’m one of those people who has to wash everything before I use it or wear it. I have to say, it washed up beautifully!
Granted I have an HE5t Kenmore front load washer, which by the way, you can also purchase at Sears/Kmart! It is a nice, heavy, quality comforter, so if you don’t have a heavy-duty washer, I would recommend taking it to the laundromat or cleaners.
If you haven’t noticed, Kmart has drastically changed just within the past couple years! The Kmart of our early childhood no longer exists (thank goodness
) If you haven’t been into a Kmart in some time, I would suggest paying them a visit very soon!
They have so many affordable, pretty items to compliment your home!
Kmart Design has assembled a team of 250 design specialists from the world’s top retailers, design and fashion schools and built studios in SoHo and Chicago.
This talented team has a core philosophy: develop product you want with a quality-first point of view — delivered at a truly affordable price. Or in a nutshell, “quality where it counts.”
At KmartDesign.com, this spirit comes to life in a series of unscripted documentaries and profiles of their designers.
I want to introduce you to one of the Awesome Kmart Designer’s, Elba Nivea Ocasio, whom I had the privilege of doing a short interview with…

How long have you been a designer? my entire life…in numbers 20 yrs and counting…
Tell me the best thing you like about working with Kmart? The people, the product, the challenges of innovation at a price point…
What sort of schooling and experience do you have? I went to design school, I got a 4 year design degree and a two year business degree. I highly recommend the business with the design and not the design without the business.
What style is your favorite? Eclectic….mix and match….colors…I love color!
What are some of the designs you’ve currently worked on? Burnout velveteen, some moiré taffetas for top of bed, …doing some unexpected fabrications for comforter sets…some really fun unexpected fresh innovative looks for the consumer at a really good value.
What sort of textures, colors are your favorite to work with? ….textures I love textures….I really like faux furs, organic blends, poly blends….all sort of goodies..I love open weaves and seersuckers, anything tactile really. Even the smooth basic surface of simple 250 thread counts, are like butter….
Do you have your own website? Work in progress….
I have to say I envy Elba! Wouldn’t it be the greatest job to work with different textures & colors? To be able to transform your ideas into quality, affordable “niceties” that help to make our homes into an eclectic reflection of ourselves

I haven’t been to Kmart in awhile, but I think that I would go there more often if they carried more decorative items (maybe they do now, and I just have not seen them). More modern looking items too!

I would like for Kmart to carry retro look glasses and round pitchers in unbreakable plastic that looks like glass. The design should be colorful retro fruit, geometric patterns, or stripes – bringing back the 50′s style but in unbreakable form!

I was always a fan of kmart but i wish that they carried a bigger craft section. Actually they don’t have any craft section except for crayola stuff for kids etc.
The comforters look so nice!!I would love if they had a celestial design for girls and a sragon design for boys.

I’ve been looking all over the Kmart website & everything I type in, they have. So, they must have more than I thought! I haven’t been in a long time because the one near me isn’t very nice…but online it seems like they have everything! I do need some cotton training pants for my little girl, and they only have gerber in one style, so it would be nice to have more styles and brands to choose from. Best I can do :-)
thanks

I know this may seem trivial, but I’d love to see more vinyl placemates. I use placemates on my kitchen table and have always gotten them at KMart. Lately, it seems most of what they carry is fabric placemates. While they are lovely, they are not practical for use in my house. K-Mart is my go-to-place for anything/everything we need. Thanks for the review and giveaway!
