We are ready to dine

The Bourbon Maple Glaze is delicious, not overpowering, but added that lil’ extra zing to the ham. I have to tell you the Citrus Glazed Carrots are the absolute best I’ve ever tasted
Once again, it doesn’t take away from the fresh flavor but adds a delicious addition to the carrots. The Green Beans that I steamed came out very fresh and crisp. The mashed potatoes combined with the included parmesan and mozzarella cheese was a huge hit with even the Kiddo’s.
Overall, the Spiral Sliced Bourbon Maple Glaze Ham Dinner is a
The generous servings combined with the care and quality put into this meal is outstanding!

Safeway has a Hardwood Smoked Spiral Ham Dinner

Spiral Ham 7 – 7.5 lbs

Corn Medley 2 lbs
Green Bean Casserole 2 lbs
Dinner Rolls 1 dozen

I ran into a bit of a snafu picking up the Spiral Ham Dinner at Safeway. The meal was reserved and set to be picked up on Saturday. When I arrived to pick it up, my name was on their list, however, they couldn’t locate the Ham Dinner. So we were told to come back on Sunday morning when the manager was scheduled to be there. When we arrived home, the entire meal was still frozen! Now, if I was expecting family for a formal lunch on Sunday, I would have been up a creek without a paddle!! So, needless to say, we are having our Spiral Ham Dinner Monday evening. In all fairness, I did ask a friend who had reserved Holiday meals in the past with Safeway, and they assured me they’ve never had this issue happen to them.
The Kiddo’s are ready to enjoy the good eats!

Safeway’s Hardwood Smoked Spiral Ham has very good flavor with just a hint of the Hardwood Smokiness. The Scalloped Potatoes were a big hit, not too runny, and wonderful full flavor. With the potatoes, you will want to bake these in the oven instead of the microwave directions. They turn out much better and have more of that down-home flavor. I enjoyed the delicious Corn Medley and Green Bean Casserole, it reminded me of a typical Sunday meal in the Midwest. The dinner rolls are soft and have buttery flavor, and the apple pie was sufficient. The crust was delicious flaky however, it could of used a few more apples.
Overall, the Hardwood Smoked Spiral Ham Dinner is delicious, just a smaller meal. Like I said, is comparable to a Sunday dinner. ![]()

As with anything, it’s a matter of personal choice and your taste bud preferences. With our family of 5, the Raley’s Spiral Sliced Bourbon Maple Glaze Ham Dinner is a better deal for only $5 more. For the price, you get fresh, crisp veggies, a larger, more flavorful ham (we like a few leftovers for ham soup). This Holiday Ham Dinner has a lil’ special effort brought to the table. Another biggie for me, a foil pan is also included, which does help save time on the clean-up. Both dinner’s have oven or microwave options for the side dishes, and both took approximately 2 hours to fix from start to finish.
A Special Thanks goes out to Amy, Nicole, and Rachael with Raley’s Family of Fine Stores for the opportunity to taste test both of these all-inclusive Holiday Ham Dinners!

Everyone loves getting home baked cookies at holiday time. You can dress them up and put them in attractive tins and baskets for gift giving. A gift basket is easy to create and you can put anything you know your recipient will like to make the gift personal to the person who is receiving the basket. Add some decorative items along with your cookies to create a beautiful basket. During the holidays you will also want to have holiday treats readily available in your home.
