Chicken Tamales are back!
Inspired by the time-honored kitchens of Mexico, El Pollo Loco’s Chicken Tamales are filled with delicately spiced chicken simmered in a rich Colorado chili sauce infused with Mexican herbs and spices. The tamales are formed by hand with cooked corn masa prepared with real Meseca, wrapped in cornhusks, and served with a choice of fresh salsas. They are sold individually and in quantities of four and 12 Chicken Tamales. El Pollo Loco also offers a Tamale Plate featuring two Chicken Tamales topped with Colorado chili sauce and Jack and Cheddar cheeses and served with rice and pinto beans.
