So what exactly is a lapbook? A lapbook is a FUN, HANDS-ON and CREATIVE way for your child to record information that he/she has learned about a certain subject. First, you create the folder part of your lapbook. This part is made from colored folders that are folded in a special way and glued together. Mini-booklets are then cut out, constructed and glued inside of the folders.
Why use lapbooks? Because learning doesn’t have to be boring! Why do lapbooks work? Because kids don’t realize it’s educational.
For you “Non” Homeschoolers out there, lapbooking is like scrap booking! Your Kiddo’s will LEARN while having FUN
Both my daughters and myself recently had a fun time putting together this lapbook, “Andrea Carter and The San Francisco Smugglers” by Susan K. Marlow This particular lapbook offers historical and literature tie-ins to Susan’s books and takes about a month to complete.
Most of AJTL lapbooks come with a study guide. No need to search out the answers yourself! Check each title for more info. They also have copywork and notebooking pages!
AJTL goes the extra mile to make your lapbooking experience better than ever for you…
*First and foremost-MOST of their lapbooks come with a study guide. No need to search out the answers yourself!
*Their lapbooks are colorful, not boring black and white.
*AJTL pages are printed on white paper not colored paper, so that the colors “pop” out. Our customers tell us that lapbooks made from colored paper result in a dark, drab lapbook.
*Their prices beat out many competitors AND we ship for FREE!
*They give you step by step color-coded instructions on how to fold and glue your folders to make the “spine” of your lapbook.
*They give you step by step directions AND a color-coded chart on where to place your mini-booklets within each folder.
*They were recently compared to Evan-Moor Publishers on the beauty of our lapbooks.
*You will receive your folders for Free when you order a printed version!
*Their 3-folder lapbook takes about one month to complete. However, you can expand the study portion and make it last as long as you want. That’s the beauty of homeschooling. Do it YOUR way!
*Have a question or a problem? Contact them at lapbooks@ajourneythroughlearning.net You will get a fast and friendly answer!
You can order a variety of lapbooks from AJTL! Everything from Science, Holiday Celebrations, to Pocket Games! There is a HUGE Selection to choose from
This Thanksgiving lapbook is not only a lapbook but has a study guide too. All the information you need to fill out the mini-books is covered in the accompanying study guide. Study the pilgrims coming to America, their trip on the Mayflower, life in Plymouth Colony, Squanto and the Wampanoag tribe, and much more. Check out the sample pages above! Also has website links to further your study. Our Thanksgiving Lapbook has 22 mini-books, a 14 page study guide and is 3 folders big!
What is a reptile?, What defenses do they have in order to survive?, What do reptiles eat when they get hungry?, Just how strange are chameleons?, Do you want to know about venomous and non-venomous snakes, crocs, turtles, lizards? What is the a food chain and where do reptiles fit on the food chain? Your child will learn the answers to these questions and so much more with this colorful and lively Reptiles Lapbook with Study Guide.
This lapbook provides hand-on practice for subtraction facts 0-0 through 12-12 while providing lots of fun on the farm!
It is our prayer that our Mother’s Memories Lapbook will allow you to give a little bit of yourself to your child. It is to be completed and given to your child to have as a keepsake. How much fun it would be to work on your lapbooks together if your child is in the process of doing a lapbook too! Topics include: A Letter to my Child, Your Family Tree, Your Mom and Dad (child’s grandparents), Growing Up (birth, school, college), Your Childhood Pets, Your Best Friends, Your Favorite Childhood Memories, Your Siblings, Your Favorite Books, Songs, Movies, Your Family Recipes, How You Met your Child’s Father, Your Wedding Day, When You Were First Married (first house, first car, etc.) Origin of your Maiden Name, Your Hopes and Dreams for Your Child.
